Barbara Berg

Barbara Ann (Chicos) Berg passed away peacefully on April 23, 2026 at the New Richland Care Center. 

 

She was born July 12, 1947 in Albert Lea, MN to Raymond and Veronica (Callahan) Chicos. Barb grew up on the family farm by New Richland.

 

Barb went to New Richland schools, graduating in 1965. After graduation Barbara worked at Herter’s in Waseca, MN. She moved to Mesa, AZ and worked for the Boeing company before returning to Minnesota.

 

She is survived by Shannon (Eddie) Peterson, Shane (Brooke) Berg and Justin (Jacqueline) Berg. Siblings Richard (Ellen) Chicos, Michael Chicos and Nancy (David) Fisher and many nieces and nephews.

 

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Veronica Chicos, her sister and brother-in-law Agnes (Harold) Schroeder, sister-in-law Marilynn Chicos, sister and brother-in-law Catherine (Roger) Solberg and a niece Joell (Solberg) Quiram. 

 

A memorial service will take place at a later date with the immediate family. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
