NRHEG homecoming week recap 2024

Every year, we have a week where we dress up and it is called Homecoming Week. The cheerleaders get to decide what the dress-up days are and basically anyone can participate and dress up. We do this to show our school spirit and to have fun. We dress up at our school. This goes on Monday through Friday. Each one of those days has a different dress-up theme. Every year, we normally do different themes each day. So Monday, we had the dress-up theme as country vs. country club. A lot of people dressed up and had a lot of things that are country and country club. About everyone participated, but not everyone. I think that this was a very cool and unique dress-up day because we don’t normally do this one. The dress-up day on Tuesday was Hawaiian-themed. About everyone dressed up, including me. A lot of people had leis, sun hats, Hawaiian shirts, sunglasses, coconuts, and grass skirts. I didn't have some of those things, but I tried my best to dress up. A lot of people were decked out in Hawaiian stuff. On Wednesday, we had the theme as pajama day, where most people came to school with what they wear to sleep, which is mostly sweatpants, sweatshirts, shorts, shirts, tank tops, etc. Some people wear jeans or leggings to bed, which I think is really weird to do, only because I don’t think that it is very comfortable to sleep in jeans and leggings. On Thursday, we dressed up in our class colors. My grade had purple and almost everyone dressed up. I’m glad that my grade had purple because one of the grades had brown and I definitely wouldn’t want to dress up in brown. But I do wish that we would have gotten, like, blue, because I have more clothes that are blue. On Friday, our theme was to dress in Panther apparel to show our school spirit. I have a lot of Panther apparel that I could have dressed up in. Some people wore the football boys’ jerseys. Some people painted their jeans with their graduation year and paw prints. A lot of people had face paint on and glitter in their hair. I had only face paint on because I didn’t want to spend a lot of time trying to get it out of my hair. The Homecoming dress-up days were really fun this year.
