Jacobson seeks NR council position

Brandy Jacobson, 36, is seeking election to the New Richland City Council. 

 

Jacobson is married to Kaleb Jacobson and has two children, Kreden, 5, and Bearren, 9 months. She works as a graphic designer for Viracon in Owatonna and has lived in New Richland for the past 13 years.

 

What do you consider the most important part of this job?

 

“To be able to address every topic, issue or concern with an open mind and with the community's best interest at heart,” Jacobson answered.

 

What particular strengths or experience do you bring to the position that you believe will help you do a good job?

 

“Communication, hard work and core values is what I believe will help me be successful in this position,” Jacobson continued. “Listen to the issues/concerns, do the research to understand why they have arisen, then address them with care for our small town and love for our community.”

 

What do you feel are the city’s most important concerns at this time?

 

“The flooding issue is something that I would like to see addressed,” Jacobson concluded. “Otherwise nothing specific, I would like to be a voice for the community.”
