NR City Council candidate Jacob Naser

Jacob Naser, 34, is seeking election to the New Richland city council. A resident of New Richland for more than a decade, Naser has a wife, Brianna, and four children, Adrian, Julian, Madison, Luna.

 

Naser works as a CNC Programmer/Machinist at Cinch Connectivity Solutions in Waseca. If elected, this would be Naser's first elected position.

 

“I feel this job is to help grow the city and in safe conscience while providing a place where a family can grow and prosper with the pursuit of happiness in mind for all,” Naser said when asked what the most important part of the job is.

 

What particular strengths or experience do you bring to the position that you believe will help

you do a good job?

 

“I am a father of four children with many friends,” Nasser answered. “I don’t just care about my children, but I concern myself with safety and opportunities that are available to others as well. I am good at putting out my concerns and ideas even if they fall on deaf ears if what is in place isn’t working I will keep voicing them until something happens or someone comes up with a better idea. I work well with criticism and I hear the concern that others have.”

 

What do you feel are the city’s most important concerns at this time?

 

“The immediate concern is the cost of living in our small town,” Naser answered. “We pay big city taxes and big city utilities for low quality standards. The second is the safety and opportunities in our city that need to be addressed.”
