Elementary raises $778 to fight cancer

The New Richland Caring Friends Relay for Life Team sponsored a project, "Take a Step To Help Fight Cancer" in the NRHEG Elementary School to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. The students were given the opportunity to donate one dollar for a footprint with a name of someone touched by cancer. The footprints are displayed on the hallway wall.
The NRHEG High School Ambassadors organized a project at their site, "Use Your Head To Help Fight Cancer." Donating one dollar allowed the student to wear a hat for the day.
The total money raised at both NRHEG sites was $778 and will be donated to the American Cancer Society. The New Richland Caring Friends Relay for Life team appreciated all the support, donations and help to raise money for the American Cancer Society.
The team members are Bonnie Jacobson, Crystal Maxon, Julie Economy, Lanae Thorstad, Georgia Dinneen, Lori Tomsche, Jean Billing, Nancy Rudau, Darlyne Dahle, and Kris Pfeffer.
Relay for Life represents the hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, support to those "in the fight" with cancer, and the hope that one day cancer will be eliminated.
