Clarks Grove Fire Pancake Breakfast

The Clarks Grove Fire Department posted signs informing the public that they were going to hold a Pancake Breakfast at the firehall on Saturday morning, March 28, from 8 a.m. to noon, and 304 people attended and supported the firemen.

 

Along with the pancakes, the fire department served scrambled eggs and ham links, as well as had orange juice, milk, and coffee available to enjoy.

 

The Clarks Grove Fire Department facility was struck by a tornado back in 2017, and they were very thankful to be able to rebuild their department and move into a new facility in February of 2019, so that they can serve the people of Clarks Grove and the surrounding area in times of need.

 

Currently the fire department has a medical/grass rig, pumper, tanker, as well as another grass rig to assist them when they receive calls for help at the time of fires, as well as medical assistance.

 

The current Clarks Grove Fire Department consists of 18 members, including Chief Steven Thisius, Assistant Chief Tyler Caron, Captains Justin hove and Cody Boverhuis, along with members Aaron Bauers, Tyler Doran, Simon Jacobuse, Dustin Knutson, Noah Krell, Aaron McCornack, Andy Rolands, Cody Smith, Dan Smith, Joe Smith, Isaac Sorenson, Marvin Thompson, Carl Anderson and Logan Vietze.

 

Currently, 14 members of the fire department also serve as first responders, including Chief Steven Thisius, Assistant Chief Tyler Caron, Captains Justin hove and Cody Boerhuis, along with members Aaron Bauers, Tyler Doran, Simon Jacobuse, Dustin Knutson, Noah Krell, Aaron McCornack, Cody Smith, Isaac Sorenson, Marvin Thompson and Logan Vietze.

 

Many of our area businesses, along with the fire chief, donated many of the needed supplies for the breakfast. Deans’ Smoke Shack donated the sausages, Hope Creamery donated the butter, Hy-Vee donated a portion of the grocery supplies, Thisius Family donated the eggs. D & D Picnic Tables provided the use of their picnic tables, Thompson Sanitation donated their services, and Prow Energy filled the tanks needed for the grills.

 

The Clarks Grove Fire Department offers up a big THANK YOU to the many people who turned out to support their fundraiser this spring. The money raised from the fundraiser will help provide the fire department with the needed tools and equipment needed to serve the people of the southern Minnesota area.
