Happy Homecoming

NRHEG Homecoming 2025 brought a week full of activities, themed dress up days, coronation, and parades coming to a close Friday.

 

Monday evening, Jordan Brouwers, son of Jessica Brouwers, alongside Chloe Riewer, daughter of Jodi and Andy Riewer, were crowned King and Queen. 

 

Serving as the night’s Masters of Ceremony were Winter Pederson, Gabby Schlaak and Devon Nelton.

 

Homecoming candidates were introduced in pairs, and the activities they participate in were listed; that information follows at the end of this article.

 

The students’ week was busy with various observances, including a trip to Ellendale for the parade route on Friday. Dress-up themes included: “Blaze orange and camo,” “PJ Day,” “Mean Girls day (pink),” “Class Colors,” and of course, “Panther Spirit Day.”

 

The Homecoming parade concluded the afternoon activities Friday. The football team played in an unfortunate 6-63 loss against Fillmore Central. A student dance was held on Saturday to conclude the homecoming festivities.

NRHEG Homecoming Royalty

Jordan Brouwers is the son of Jessica Brouwers. He is involved in football, basketball, baseball, band, Boy Scouts of America, 4H and FCA and his hobbies include football and lifting. His favorite high school memory was Mrs. P 11th grade English class. One fun fact about Jordan is that he is an Eagle Scout.  If he was shipwrecked on a deserted island, Jordan would bring Ezekiel Morrison and a 2-person paddle boat because it sounds like a good time. His hero is his Grandma Dorothy, because of all the life skills she has taught him and for making him a better person every day. After high school, Jordan plans to go to college for accounting and play football. 

 

Hudson Chrz is the son of Gwyn and Jared Chrz. He has 3 siblings: Jackson, Emmy and Kayna.  Hudson is involved in Golf and Prostart and he likes playing guitar, fishing, shooting hoops, jet skiing, and hanging out with friends. His favorite memory from high school so far is the Costa Rica trip. One fun fact about Hudson is that he is the favorite sibling by a long shot. If he was shipwrecked on a deserted island, Hudson would take a chair and sunscreen. His hero is his dad because he keeps the streets of Waseca clean from criminals and he can do a kick-flip and he’s been in a motorcycle gang. Hudson’s future plans are to get super rich. 

 

Gavin Lewison is the son of Tammy and Bradley Lewison. He has three siblings, two older sisters, Grace Hubly and Hannah Dicke, and one older brother, Lex Lewison. Gavin is involved in Football, track and field, DECA, Prostart, and 4H. His hobbies include hanging out with friends and family, riding bike, working out at Lerberg's, and building grain bins with Aaden and Zander Hanna and Calvin Nissen. His favorite memory from high school so far is hooping with Ricky Zapata. One fun fact about Gavin is that he is stronger than his brother Lex Edward Lewison. If he was shipwrecked on a deserted island, he would take a Walkman and a mixtape CD. Gavin’s hero is his father Bradley Lewison, because he’s a hard worker and has helped him build a strong work ethic. Gavin is undecided on his plans after high school.

 

Chloe Riewer is the daughter of Andrew Riewer and Jodi Riewer. Her siblings are Caden Riewer and Cohen Riewer. Chloe is involved in volleyball, track, DECA, FCA, FCCLA, student ambassadors, NHS, and knowledge bowl. She is very passionate about shopping and buying stuff from Five Below. Her favorite memory from high school so far is when she whipped Chloe Stork in the face with a tank top when we were playing granny in the locker room. One interesting fact about Chloe is that she has never lost to Cohen in a handstand contest. If she was shipwrecked on a deserted island, she would bring her tanning chair and tanning oil, so she could get a nice tan. Chloe’s heroes are her grandmas because they always make the best food and are the sweetest and most supportive people. After high school, Chloe plans on going to Florida with Camryn Van.

 

Addy Stadheim is the daughter of Linda and Darrin Stadheim. She has two siblings: one older sister Izzy, and one younger sister Emmy. Addy is involved in volleyball, softball, student council, DECA, NHS, and FCA and her hobby is puzzling with Liz. Her favorite memory from high school so far is playing granny before volleyball games in the locker room. One fun fact about Addy is that she has only been pulled over four times, and hit one deer. If she was shipwrecked on a deserted island, Addy would bring a fully fueled yacht and a captain. Her hero is her dad, because he lives with four girls and is surviving. After high school, Addy plans to go to college to get more knowledge.

 

Chloe Stork is the daughter of Dan and Stacy Stork. She has three older siblings, Anna, Jake and Sophie. Chloe is involved in volleyball, basketball, softball, student council, student ambassadors, DECA, FCA, FCCLA, yearbook, NHS, and Gopher Conference SALT. She loves sports, music, anything outdoors, and hanging out with friends and family. Chloe’s favorite memory from high school so far is going to state, ICDC, and Costa Rica all during the spring of Junior year. One interesting fact about Chloe is that people think she has her crap together, but she is the most type B and unorganized person. If she was shipwrecked on a deserted island, she would bring a camera, so that she could capture all the nature around her and also bring a fishing pole because her dad would never talk to her again if she didn’t. Chloe’s heroes are her parents. They are her biggest supporters and her mom always knows how to crack a dirty joke to make her feel better. After high school, she is planning to attend a 4-year school, but hasn’t decided where or what major.

 

Wyatt Tuttle is the son of Jessica and Thaddeus Tuttle. He has one half brother Jacob Dooley and a full blooded brother named William Tuttle. Wyatt is involved in track and field, DECA and ProStart. He likes to hang out with friends and he enjoys training jujitsu in Owatonna next to the Anytime fitness from 6:30 to 7:30. Some other hobbies include lifting, driving to LaCrosse, and making a good meal from time to time. His favorite memory from high school so far was in theater and drama basics when Ian Riskedahl jumped up to celebrate and almost had to buy a new Smartboard. One interesting fact about Wyatt is that he works in a family insurance business that has been saving homeowners in the Minnesota area an average of 500 to 1,000 dollars per year on their home owners insurance alone. If he was shipwrecked on a deserted island, Wyatt would want to take his red 2017 Jeep Renegade and a gallon of gas. His hero is his father because he is the hardest worker he knows and he hopes to have a work ethic like him someday. After high school, Wyatt plans to become an insurance agent and hopefully run his own agency one day.

 

Camryn VanMaldeghem is the daughter of Steve and Kelly VanMaldeghem. She has three siblings: younger sister Quinn, and two older brothers, Sawyer and Hunter. Camryn is involved in volleyball, basketball, softball, FCA, FCCLA, Knowledge bowl, prostart, and student ambassadors. Her hobbies include going to the mall and shopping with her friends, and also tanning with her friends and her favorite memory from high school so far is going to state for basketball. One fun fact about Camryn is that she has over 100 sweatshirts. If she was shipwrecked on a deserted island, she would bring Ms. C to keep her company, but also a roll of duct tape just in case she talks too much. Camryn’s hero is her dad because he’s always there for her no matter what. He pushes her in every sport to be the best she can be and he is her biggest cheerleader, AND….he always makes sure her bank account is never low. After high school, Camryn plans to move to Florida with Chloe Riewer.

 

Quinn VanMaldeghem is the daughter of Steve and Kelly VanMaldeghem. She has three older siblings, Hunter, Sawyer and Camryn. Quinn is involved in volleyball, basketball, track and FCA, and her hobbies include sports, coloring and running. Her favorite memory from high school so far is coming back from being down 20 points to win the section 2AA championship.  One interesting fact about Quinn is that she collects rubber ducks. If she was shipwrecked on a deserted island, she would bring her cat, Doug, to keep her company. She would also bring a flashlight, so she can see at night. Quinn’s heroes are her parents because they are her biggest cheerleaders when it comes to sports. After high school she plans to do something amazing.

 

Owen Wayne is the son of Brandon and Jodi Wayne. He has two sisters, Eva and Quinn, and one dog, Miles. Owen is involved in Student Council, DECA and baseball. His hobbies include pickleball, golf, snowboarding, watching and playing sports, and listening to music. Owen’s favorite memory from high school so far is the class trip to Costa Rica. One fun fact about Owen is that he can solve a rubix cube in under 30 seconds. If he was shipwrecked on a deserted island, he would bring a swim suit and a bucket hat. His hero is LeBron James, because he is the GOAT.  After high school, Owen plans to go to college and study business or finance.

 

The princess and prince each received gifts for being part of the Homecoming royalty. The princess received a volleyball signed by the 2025 Panther Volleyball team. The prince received a football signed by the 2025 Panther football team.

 

Princess Rae Phillips is the daughter of Matt and Courtney Phillips. She has one younger sister, Callie Phillips, who is two. Rae is involved in youth t-ball, and for hobbies, she likes to help her mom in the garden, do crafts and play outside. Her favorite memory from school so far is recess.  One fun fact about Rae is that her curls are all natural. If she was shipwrecked on a deserted island, she would bring her books and Barbies to play with. Her hero is her Dad, because he is funny and always there for her. In the future, Rae wants to be a zookeeper.

 

Prince Holden Arnold is the son of Dylan and Arial Arnold. He has three siblings, Haven, Hayes and Hadley. Holden is involved in t-ball and soccer, and for hobbies he loves to play with his toy semi-trucks in the dirt. His favorite memory from kindergarten so far is playing with construction trucks and his friends. One fun fact about Holden is that his birthday is only 5 days away from Christmas. If he was shipwrecked on a deserted island, he would bring his new semi-truck and dump trailer, so he wouldn’t get bored. Holden’s heroes are police officers because they catch bad guys. Holden plans to be a firefighter when he grows up.
