PROGRESS - Ash Avenue South in front of the NRHEG secondary school was paved the evening of Thursday, Oct. 2. The street was dug up last spring and has been under construction since. The road is driveable; at least one additional layer of paving will be applied before the project is finished. School buses delivering and picking up students at the secondary site have traditionally made a "loop" using Ash Avenue, Fourth Street Southwest and Broadway Avenue. Buses are currently turning around in front of the school because Fourth Street and Broadway are not yet driveable. The two surfaces are scheduled to be paved by Oct. 17.
