Tourism awards $2,500 grant to support Free Stage

WASECA, Minn. — Discover Waseca Tourism awards a $2,500 grant to the Waseca County Free Fair to support free stage entertainment during the 2026 fair, scheduled for July 8–12, 2026.

 

For generations, the Waseca County Free Fair has been one of Southern Minnesota's premier summer attractions, drawing thousands of visitors to Waseca County for five days of entertainment, agriculture, food, exhibits, and family-friendly activities. The Free Stage provides fairgoers with access to quality entertainment at no additional cost, helping create an enjoyable experience for residents and visitors alike.

 

The grant was approved through the Discover Waseca Tourism Grants Program, which supports events and initiatives that enhance Waseca's appeal as a destination and contribute to the local visitor economy.

"Every year, thousands of people visit Waseca to enjoy the fair's attractions, exhibits, food, and entertainment. The Tourism Grants Committee recognized the significant impact the fair has on local businesses, lodging establishments, restaurants, and attractions throughout the county.

With free admission, family-friendly activities, agricultural exhibits, live entertainment, and special events throughout the week, the Waseca County Free Fair continues to serve as one of the region's most anticipated summer celebrations.
