'One of the best weeks ever'

The week of Homecoming is one of the best weeks ever. There is so much to do and many fun things all week. The NRHEG kids put on activities throughout the week so we other kids can have a fun and safe homecoming week. This year it is celebrated September 23-27. The main fun is on Friday; we do so many fun activities all day long which might include. We do some float building, games outside, games inside, schoolwide Kahoot, pep fest, and best of all, the parade to end our amazing day. We all go outside and show our community our amazing work and have a float-building competition. The beginning of the week is just as fun. Every day we get out of class for one hour to go to the gym and play all types of fun games. We get to watch the cheerleaders do a few cheers for us and then get started on our activity for the day. This year, we had a homecoming theme. It was the Hunger Games. It was so each of the different grade levels would get points for the activities their classmates won. It was a fun way to get all the different students to participate in the daily activities. At the assemblies, they do group activities, or they may do individual activities and people will get called on to go out there and participate in their class. The cheerleaders put on some fun activities every time and we enjoy it so much. There are so many people who take pictures on homecoming and hang out with friends all day. The best part is seeing all your friends in jerseys being with the people they love. I really hope everyone is always safe and nice on Homecoming. It is always so hard to go back to school and do normal things when Homecoming is over. We look forward to that the whole week and Friday goes by so fast. It is so fun to see the Homecoming Court with the prince and princess at everything cheering you on. They choose 6 boys and 6 girls to run for the court and then have a big crowning ceremony on a night of the week to see who our homecoming king and queen are. Homecoming is really the best thing and already can't wait for next year.
