Lady Bug re-opening August 29

With fans and shoppers daily asking when the big day is, the grand re-opening of the Lady Bug Thrift Shop on Saturday, Aug. 29 promises to be a not-to-be-missed event.

 

Retired Vikings football player Mark Mullaney, originally of Colorado, but now living near New Richland, will guest star at the event. Mallaney played for the Minnesota Vikings from 1975 – 1987. According to Lady Bug owner Paulette Krampitz, Mallaney and his wife, Lynette, shop regularly at the Lady Bug, so highlighting the football star is a perfect fit. It's likely the shop's Vikings memorabilia won't last until the doors close on Saturday.

 

Also available to shoppers that day will be Farmers Fuel coffee. The local coffee roasting company, which was founded by Andrew Phillips of Hartland, was created in order to help farmers in need; a portion of each coffee sale from their website goes to support farmers.

 

Krampitz and Annette Strenge have been working hard to create beautiful displays of items carefully selected at auctions and consignment merchandise. The second floor of the Lady Bug features tempting Christmas displays, while just below it on the first floor, the south side of the building is replete with menswear and tools. Many collector's items have made it into the shop this season, too, including collectible books, Barbies, Precious Moments figurines, Pioneer Woman kitchenware and memorabilia, and much more.

 

Consignors have only just begun bringing in items, so, by opening day, the Lady Bug may be  overflowing. There will certainly be a great many intriguing items to tempt even the most selective shoppers.

 

The Lady Bug Thrift Shop will be open from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 29. Don't miss this event!
