Koerber joins special education team

Joining the special education team at the NRHEG secondary building this year is Stephanie Koerber. Originally from Freeborn, Stephanie currently resides in Albert Lea along with her husband, Tom, daughter, Briella, who is in third grade, and 3-year-old son, Dale.

 

Koerber graduated from Southwest Minnesota State University in December 2023 with a Bachelor of Science in Special Education: Academic and Behavioral Strategist, and was employed elsewhere as a Kindergarten/1st grade special education teacher in January of this past school year. “I applied to NRHEG to be closer to family and for my kids to grow up in a small town community,” she says. “I love that everyone feels like family in a smaller school setting.”

 

Koerber hopes one thing students leave her classroom with is the knowledge that they are capable of anything when they set their mind to it. “My goal is to always bring out the best in my students and showcase their abilities. I also hope they don’t mind my dry sense of humor!”
