Homecoming week dress up day themes

On Monday, September 23, 2024, NRHEG High School had their first day of their homecoming week, most of the students’ favorite week. All of the dress-up days had to still follow the dress code and be appropriate. Their first dress-up day was country vs. country club. There were many students wearing golfer outfits including skirts and visors while many others wore jeans with some boots and a sweatshirt or country shirt. The second dress-up day was Hawaiian, which, as you can guess, everyone wore either bikinis or anything that related to a summer-like outfit with leis, goggles, floaties, and anything you can imagine if you were going to a beach. On Wednesday, the third day, the dress-up was a pajama party where obviously, everyone wore any sort of pajama pants or shirts or even onesies or matching sets. In general, everyone wore comfy clothes that they rarely wear to school. On Thursday, they had color wars for the dress-up. Each grade had its own colors to wear. Seniors were assigned to wear pink while the juniors were assigned blue. The sophomores were to wear purple while the freshmen were assigned to wear gray. Eighth grade had to wear orange while seventh grade had green and sixth grade had to wear brown. The staff members could participate by wearing black. They could wear any accessories as long as they were school-appropriate. On Friday, the last dress-up day was to wear any Panther apparel. They did nothing in school besides build floats or do crafts throughout the day. They had until the high school lunch to finish building and creating their floats. After lunch, they had a pepfest where they had a few activities. After the pepfest, they started the parade which went over by the nursing home and the main street. After the parade was done, the school day was over. They had their football homecoming game against Medford. We won 43-8. When the game was completely over, they set off about six confetti bombs as a celebration. All of the students went out onto the field after Medford’s team came off, so they could take a picture with the team. After everyone started clearing off the field, many of the students went to the homecoming dance and the theme was slumber party. The homecoming dance went until 11:30 at night. They had concessions open for the dance.
