Groth seeks election to Ellendale Mayor position

Longtime Ellendale Council member Scott Groth, 65, is the only candidate running for Ellendale Mayor. Scott and his wife Joni have three kids and six grandkids.
Folks know Groth as the owner of Floors 4-U, a main street business in Ellendale. Asked how long he’s lived in the area, Groth simply said, “A long time.”
Groth previously served Ellendale as council member from 1998-2000, mayor from 2001-2004, and again as council member from 2008 to present.
“Good judgment, good listening, be fair,” Groth states are the most important parts of the job.
“Being on the council a few years and a local business owner” are Groth’s greatest strengths he brings to the position.
“Budget, infrastructure needs and preparing for the re-work of Highway 30,” are the city’s most important concerns at this time, says Groth. And, “trying to attract and maintain businesses.”
