Freeborn Legion Auxiliary news

The Freeborn American Legion Auxiliary met on March 21, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. at the Freeborn Legion Hall. President Sandy Anderson called the meeting to order. The American Flag and the Auxiliary Pledges were recited.

 

The Secretary and Treasurer reports were given. Both reports were approved as read.

Bills were presented and motioned to be paid.

 

Sandy gave a report from the December Santa Day/Hospice program/Potluck and Bingo

Party. There were approximately 20 people playing Bingo. A fun time was had by all and everyone left a winner. If you missed this year, we will do it all again on the First Sunday in December. Bingo is free to play and all ages are encouraged to attend. It will be December 6, 2026.

 

The 2026 dues notice was emailed into the department and confirmed.

 

The 2026 officers list has been emailed to the department and confirmed.

 

Girls State letter and application was mailed out, but there was no response.

 

Our membership is at 52 and our goal is 53. We need just one more member to renew and

we would meet goal if one person became a member.

 

The Poppy's were ordered and have arrived.

 

Sandy announced that the Annual reports will need to be done and information should be

turned in to her by April 1.

 

Our next Auxiliary meeting will be Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 9 a.m. at the Freeborn

Legion Hall. With no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
