The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) held its fourth annual Fields of Faith (FOF) nationwide night out event on Wednesday, Oct. 8 at the NRHEG High School football field, located near the secondary school in New Richland. 59 students attended the event.
The featured speaker of the night was Aidan Sindelir, a graduate from Maple River and now a student at Gustavus planning to be a teacher.
He was a very inspiring FCA student athlete himself and talked about ways to bring their faith into their athletic life.
Other speakers included Chloe Stork, Faith Phillips, Owen Wayne, Sean Lassahn and Kyera Eustice. The leaders of the night were Chloe Stork and Faith Phillips.
Fields of Faith was first established in 1954 by Don McClanen, who was frustrated by professional athletes endorsing cigarettes and shaving cream. He wanted to get athletes on board fighting to get the Word of God out there. The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is an international non-profit Christian sports ministry based in Kansas City. The organization operates in 115 countries.
