FFA holds 94th annual parent member banquet

The NRHEG FFA held their 94th annual banquet on Saturday, May 18th at the NRHEG High School. Seventy-five members and guests were treated to a meal served by Superior Foods of Ellendale and an awards program put on by the officer team. The chapter was honored to recognize School Administrative Assistant, Teri Kormann for her 27+ years of service to the district with the Honorary Chapter FFA Degree. Also recognized with this honorary degree was Neighbor's Meats for their service and leadership in the ag business community. NRHEG FFA Alumni President, Ryan Gerhke brought greetings to the FFA members and congratulated them on their year of accomplishments. Sixteen members of the chapter were given their FFA Degrees for active participation and achievement. Top judge trophies were awarded to members of each of the eight teams that competed this year. Sydney Lewer was awarded the Dekalb Leadership award with a $500 chapter scholarship, and Dacoda Malakowsky was given the Outstanding FFA member award with a $500 chapter scholarship for his years of service and success in the FFA. Finally, the 2024-25 Officer team was installed to begin their year. The chapter wishes to thank all of the businesses and individuals that have aided us this past year.  Thanks to the NRHEG FFA Alumni chapter and the Career & Technical Ed Advisory committee and, of course, to all of the parents and other family members who support their students and their participation in the FFA.
