Fall Into Winter style show has good ‘feels’

Two Doves Boutique owner Gwen Reiss joked that the models during her “Fall Into Winter” style show were keeping count of how many “feels” they had to stop for as they walked among the 30 or so guests who enjoyed not only an up-close style show in the boutique’s outdoor plaza, but an elegant buffet of wine and hors d’oeuvres the evening of Oct. 6.
The sensory temptations included leather-like slacks, some with sparkling accents, a thick fur-like jacket, silky lingerie, and richly embroidered jackets and accessories.
Reiss offered input and suggestions as models Pennie Ladlie, Rhonda Hareid, Gretchen Supalla, Karen Krause and Kris Johnson strode past wearing outfits they had selected from among the boutique’s offerings.
As an embroidered garnet-colored jacket appeared, Reiss offered that “dark jewel colors are in this season.” She commented that people going to weddings are tending to choose “stylish but comfortable” clothing, often including a dressy jacket over a somewhat more casual outfit. She also joked that guests would find their seats more comfortable if they treated themselves to a bit more wine.
Two Doves Boutique holds its fashion shows twice a year.
