Ellendale food shelf holds fundraiser

A benefit fundraiser for the Ellendale Area Food Shelf was held at Ellendale United Methodist Church, Sunday, March 17 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Tacos were served for a free-will donation, and a bake sale and raffle were also held. Raffle prizes included a garage freezer and a 50-inch television. Local Boy Scouts, Devon Nelton, Jordan Brouwers, and Wyatt Larson, volunteered at the event cleaning tables. The fundraiser was considered a success, with 450 pounds of food collected through the Boy Scouts in addition to an undisclosed dollar amount raised that evening.
